Club Evolution
AeroVentures Flying Club is a non profit flying club created by aviation enthusiasts.
The mission for the club is to provide a place for pilots with safe, well-maintained aircraft and an opportunity to meet like-minded people.
The dream of AeroVentures began as early as 1977. The flying club was formally established in 2012 at Gwinnett County airport (LZU) with a 1977 Cessna 172.
Since then a Piper PA-28-151 (Cherokee Warrior), a second Cessna 172N (Skyhawk), and a Piper Dakota have been added to the fleet. In 2020, we added a newer 1997 172R Skyhawk to the family. In July 2024, a 1984 Piper Archer II also joined our fleet.
Our Pipers have longer range fuel tanks and the Dakota is a high performance aircraft, making them excellent choices for longer cross country flights.
All of our planes are hangered at the Gwinnett Airport, and most avionics and engines have been upgraded and standardized for easier transitions between aircraft.

Who We Are
AeroVentures has members of all ages and backgrounds.
Club members range from airline/corporate pilots, commercial multi-engine pilots, CFI/Is, and general aviation pilots who just love to fly.
We encourage proficiency and safety for all of our pilots. For those pursuing IFR ratings or proficiency, other club members may assist with safety pilot support.

Club Membership
Club members at Aeroventures are part of a great general aviation community at LZU. Members have access to club aircraft once checked out by a club CFI. The club also hosts regular social events, safety briefings, and allows multi-day trips.
Aircraft usage is by the hour (wet) with rates varying by aircraft, and are reserved through our scheduling software.
Only AeroVentures club members and their passengers (with signed waivers) are permitted to use our aircraft.
AeroVentures is not a flight school, and we only accept new members who are already certificated pilots.
